Il Times ha chiesto a cinque uomini di vestire una donna secondo il loro gusto ideale e di motivare la scelta. Uno degli uomini è Alex James. Questo è il look che ha scelto e questa la sua motivazione:  «My ideal woman is someone who looks like she’s just played football or climbed a tree. It’s quite tomboyish, but with a short skirt. And high heels».

(E poi va avanti dicendo che gli piacciono le tardone. Come non amarlo: «I also love women who rock interesting looks, like Florence Welch. Hers is the ultimate muddy-knee look, and there’s nothing sexier than muddy knees. The outfit I’ve chosen doesn’t look too girlie. There is gravity to the Chanel jacket. The short skirt is sexy and, I guess, quite young. I know youth is the engine used to sell things, but I truly believe that women get more beautiful as they get older; confidence is the biggest aphrodisiac»).
